Known for emotional ballads that can be anywhere between violent and lovelorn, tracks like 'Murder On My Mind,' 'Slang That Iron,' and '772 Love' have earned him a following. A number of those previous singles appear on the project, but it's mostly made up of brand new material, including 'Freaky Girl,' a song that interpolates 's early single 'Freaky Gurl.'
While there are certainly a lot of rappers who are regularly singing on tracks, Melly manages to take a step closer to R&B than his peers, using a soulful, technically impressive voice unassisted by auto-tune.
