Fallout New Vegas Extra Options
Do Ghouls in New Vegas give you good Karma when you kill them? My advice is to get a Fallout New Vegas mod that changes the feral.

I'd like to know this myself.I know jsawyer made some changes to fix the massive karma gains from killing evil actors (fiends, feral ghouls, etc.) but even with that fix it was still difficult to become evil without going on massive thieving sprees.Looking for a mod like this has actually been on my to-do list for a while so I'll go do some searching and let you know if I find anything compelling.EDIT: Okay, I found a few things.1.) First thing's first: is a fix for the +100 karma for killing ferals/fiends thing, in case you don't already have anything that fixes that already. It's pretty important because otherwise just defending yourself against always-hostile trash makes you a saint in no time.2.) This mod looks interesting: adds one perk specific to each karma level, and also adds Fallout 3-style hit squads that come after you if you become good or evil. That's a bit of a downside for me as I'd prefer that hit squads only start at very good or evil, which is how I modded it to work back in Fallout 3. Still though, it has promise - maybe I could tweak it.3.) Two new sources of Karma: and.4.) I wasn't able to find a proper fix for it, but if you're frustrated by losing karma for 'stealing' stuff from the Legion or Powder Gangers, you'll want this workaround: reduces the karma loss from -5 per stolen item to -1.

Even though it's stupid to lose karma from looting enemy factions, I'm not particularly irate about it since, as you said, it's so hard to become evil in the first place.
